Goals

The youth parliament (JuPa) represents the interests of children and young people in Monheim am Rhein. Its young members advise the City Administration and the Youth Welfare Committee on all matters involving kids and young people.

The JuPa should be consulted on all issues that could affect children and young people in the town. It can make suggestions, offer ideas and raise concerns in matters concerning children and young people.

The members of the youth parliament have set themselves various goals. For example:

  • More appealing shops
  • Meeting place for young people (roofed, outside)
  • Participation in demonstrations
  • Renovation of sports grounds
  • Better and more practical bus connections
  • School self-defense courses for girls
  • Renovation of soccer pitches
  • Integration of refugee children (excursions, campaigns)
  • More leisure activities in Monheim
  • Compulsory first-aid course in schools
